Guest Review: Drew Estate Natural Clean Robusto

Today we welcome a relatively new member of the cigar community, writing his first guest review for us here on the Tiki Bar…

Well, this is my very first cigar review. As I am fairly new to the cigar game. How that started was very simple actually. If its one thing outside of a good cigar is some fun outdoors at a shooting range. Through a forum for gun owners and so forth. I met a gentleman by the name of Keith, who goes by Keith1911, as we all know. We had established Twitter contact. I learned that he is a fellow gun owner and enthusiast. Through conversation we met in person for some trigger time at a local range. Shortly after trigger time we had lunch where I learned he was into cigars. Conversation began on cigars and so forth. Now, I have had a few prior, but I never really understood what it was all about. Keith began to explain a bit. He then gave me a Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial. Which I thoroughly enjoyed. I knew I made a new and good friend. Upon leaving that afternoon he handed me a Don Cirillo stick which I had saved for the next day. After time passed I got invited to come down to Maxamar’s to have some cigars. Since then I have learned to appreciate and enjoy cigars.

Today I’ll be sharing a few thoughts about the Drew Estate Natural Clean Robusto

Upon taking the initial draw. It is very smooth…rather rich…and sweet. Thin yet billowy smoke. I am quite pleased with the Clean Robusto. Consistent and even burn. The taste upon inhale was slightly spicy but left a sweet sugary flavor on my lips. As I got to the second quarter of this cigar. The exhale smoke began to grow a little more dense and aromatic. Personally this is a great indoor cigar, but I always smoke outdoors anyway because I don’t want the smoke making contact with my music Instruments and other gear. I also noticed that towards the end of the second and into the third quarter I didn’t have a continuous smoke trail coming from the burn area. But as I began the third the smoke began to show a bit more along with a bit more of a bolder flavor consisting of some secret tobacco blended with a Sumatran wrapper and Nicaraguan filler. Bottom line…this is one smooth talker of a smoke even through the retrohale which allowed me to experience more of the medium bodied and distinctive flavors , which I enjoy .

Question is: Will I buy this one again ? Yes, I will definitely purchase this again.

Like I said…this is my first review…I hope you enjoyed it, and I would greatly appreciate any advice to make future reviews better. Thanks much to Keith1911.
