Cashmere

Cigar Review: Cashmere by Esteban Carrera

Part of my job these days requires driving around the city for 20 to 60 minutes at a time once or twice a week. Those are times I like to have just the right amount of cigar to fill the time and give me something to think about instead of the idiocy of other drivers (I’m a pretty great driver, myself). So I’m always on the lookout for a new stick that can fill the role.

Enter the Esteban Carreras Cashmere Boolit, a 4.75” x 46 ring gauge petite corona featuring a Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers and binder. I paired it on a lazy Saturday morning with some Wide Awake French Roast Coffee as I sat on my private smoking porch…the best cigar lounge in Chattanooga.

I found the Cashmere to me closer to medium than truly mild in body, with lots of wood and earth notes, along with more pepper than I would expect in a Conny. It did have an intrinsic smoothness and mild sweetness, that was very nice. Good cigar and decent price…I’ll most likely add this to my “driving around” cigar rotation.
