SnS 2025

Cigar Review: SnS 2025 #4

I took out the Saints & Sinners 2025 #4 on a Saturday morning, shortly after getting out of bed, hoping it was destined to be a milder cigar, but knowing the wrapper leaf color was no guarantee of that. While I loved the #1 which was almost definitely Connecticut Shade, and the #2 was a very nice blend that I believed to be a Corojo leaf wrapper, I really wasn’t sure about #3 or 4. #3 was longer than I wanted for this particular morning smoke to go (I had to cook breakfast, too), so I opted for the shorter, narrower ring gauge of #4. I guess I’d call this about a 5.5” x about 48 ring gauge.

The wrapper color was a dark golden color with a bit of red in it. It had aromas of cedar and hay mostly. The cold draw had a surprising amount of sweetness to it, but that didn’t hold over to the actual smoke, which was loaded with dry cedar, white pepper, and…really not much else. I was at a bit of a loss with this one. It was on the more medium side of mild in body, but just wasn’t hitting my taste buds very well or something.

As I continued smoking through it, nothing really changed for me. Cigar was alright without ever making me wish for more. It did seem to settle into the milder end of blends and at one point I wondered if this is perhaps something based on the Cabaiguan, a blend that has never resonated with me. And that’s the whole thing…this cigar just didn’t resonate with my palate…and that’s will happen. Anyone who tells you they “absolutely love” every blend from every blender is either lying or a hopeless sycophant (or maybe just doesn’t actually taste the cigar at all…who knows?).
