SnS 2025

Cigar Review: SnS 2025 #3

The third cigar from the Saints & Sinners 2025 collection presented as a torpedo or belicoso, about 6 inches long and about 52 ring gauge. The wrapper was an intriguing light brown with a lot of red in it. It had a moderate amount of oils under my fingertips and an aroma of cedar and natural tobacco. The prelight draw was better than expected…but then again, I just have very little faith in torpedo-tipped cigars to draw well…it just happens way too often. Anyway, the cold draw had a nice sweetness that was hard to describe…just cool and sweet.

I fired it up and the Saints & Sinners 2025 #3 had notes of cedar right off the bat, along with some creamier hay and white pepper. I didn’t feel like the wrapper looked like a Connecticut Shade (and still don’t), but I found the body to be quite mild at the outset. I sipped on some Maker’s Mark Cask Strength to accompany this cigar and although Maker’s is a smooth, sweet bourbon, this expression may have been too much for the cigar.

Fortunately, a little water tamed the bourbon beast and made for a much better pairing, but I still couldn’t help feeling disappointed in the cigar. I didn’t hate it, but it just wasn’t on the level of “greatness” that I’ve come to expect from Tatuaje and the adjacent brands.
