Crna Nok

After smoking copious quantities of other Jas Sum Kral sticks for several months, I caught wind that they were getting some other blends back in stock, so I made sure to get my hands on some of those, too, when I put in my next order. One of the ones that showed up was the Robusto size of Crna Nok…which, by the way, translates to “Black Knight” according to the Googles. From what I can tell, this blend uses Nicaraguan fillers, a Mexican San Andres binder, and a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.

The wrapper was oily and had a great aroma that was immediately familiar to me as a Broadleaf fanatic…rich earth with plentiful cocoa powder and leather notes. The foot was sweet and almost chocolatey smelling. The cold draw had a little chocolate in it, but was mostly woody and a earthy, with a bit of grassiness in there, as well. Firing up the Crna Nok brought on full-bodied earthiness, with a strong espresso bean coffee note, and lesser sweeter chocolate notes…oh, and tons of pepper spice on the palate and nose…but especially on the nose!

This was a really nice cigar, very full-bodied, but also full-flavored and excellent from end to end. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes full-bodied Nicaraguan cigars like Tatuaje’s Broadleaf-wrapped sticks…but for a lot less money.
